Modern Fear – Safe With You
SuperPitch’s Artist Series is our Carte Blanche extended to artists who inspire us. Indie band MODERN FEAR seems like it’s taken the best of the 80’s (and oh, do we love the Eighties), a spoonful of the 90’s, before spinning it through the current vortex of our modern emotions. With its well-crafted lyrics, melodic synths, confident female vocals and dynamic drums, this is an album that comes across as vintage but totally contemporary, optimistic, cheerful and bright. The duo also knows how to subtly infuse melancholic, almost vaporous vibes in its songwriting. They speak of love, of romance, of heavy hearts and party times. Nothing fearful here. A bit of moodiness, perhaps. A touch of desire, sure. Great for Teen movies and TV series, the 80's, drama and romance, romance and drama, and indie films. Stranger things have happened, though, so who knows…
